Examples of things that might take away from a photo may include:
Bad exposure/lighting, shown in the first picture the subject is barely visible due to the lack of light. This in turn creates a very dark, under exposed look to the photo, which also negatively impacts the mood.

Bad composition can be a big factor in the quality of a photo, as shown in this picture the main subject isn't quiet displayed that well due to the depth of field and framing.

Lousy focus and framing in a photo can make it look cheap or unprofessional. This photo is very unfocused and looks as if there was little through put into it, the framing of the picture is also a bit off as there is a lot of empty space to the left of the subject.

Four examples of why this is a good photo might include things such as how its framing is spot on giving, us a full view of the scene. The lighting and fog gives the picture a certain mood which is appealing to the viewer. This photo also shows a good example of leading line, as the stone path leads to the focal point of the photo.

The picture taken by C.D.K in the streets, made of a medieval style brick and lantern street lights shows a good example of repetition with the line of street lanterns down the street and also the leading line of the street is very prominent.
With the photo taken by Philippe, it is an excellent shot of a leading line and repetition with the stairs. The framing is also very well done as the fence is a very good border for the setting of the picture

A1. The main challenge I faced during the time we've using manual mode have been not getting the right exposure in the picture. Many times I would find it hard to put the camera on the right setting for the environment I was in, but I feel like I have a much better understanding of the cameras functions after all the work we have been doing in manual mode.
Q2. What are some benefits of manual mode? How does it allow you to enhance you photos?
A2. There are many benefits to using manual mode such as how you have full control over your IOS, shutter speed, and aperture. your able to change the exposure, depth of field and focus as well, so over all manual mode has a side variety of possibility's in the way that your picture can turn out.
Q3. What are some aspects of manual mode that you feel you personally need more practice/help with?
A3. I feel that I need more work on getting the right exposure in pictures outside and in darker settings such as the forest in the back of the school.
